🌀 North and central Queensland are at higher risk than normal of a tropical cyclone crossing in the 2020/21 season. There is also a higher risk of more tropical cyclones developing during the season. Modelling indicates a stronger than average monsoon particularly during the early season. On current data it’s indicated that the monsoons arrival is a reasonable chance of forming in week 2 of December increasing to a higher chance in week 3 of December. With the stronger than normal monsoonal surges early in the season a general SE movement of activity is indicated till around mid season.
